Jaime Mancuso is a freelance lighting designer based in Atlanta, GA. She earned her MFA in 2019 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Originally from Connecticut, Jaime has lived in six different states since graduating high school, reflecting her passion for travel and continuous learning.

Jaime specializes in collaborating with a diverse range of artists to create cohesive and visually compelling productions from the initial design meeting. She values close cooperation with all members of the design team to ensure a well-rounded production. This collaborative approach includes engaging with scenic designers from the outset to realize their vision while aligning with the director's objectives. Jaime is known for her creativity and adaptability, effectively managing unforeseen challenges to deliver outstanding results.

The COVID-19 pandemic profoundly impacted the arts industry, and while theatre has been slow to recover, the return of live performances has been eagerly anticipated. Jaime believes that nothing compares to the unique energy of a live audience, which significantly enhances the theatrical experience. As many theatre professionals will attest, the exhilaration of opening night with a full house offers an irreplaceable thrill that cannot be replicated through filmed performances.
